About ArgusEye
ArgusEye is building the future of cybersecurity analysis. We combine AI agents, deep domain
expertise, and modern software engineering to transform how organizations identify,
understand, and mitigate security risks. Our platform serves as an autonomous system of action
for cyber-physical products across MedTech, Consumer Electronics, Space, Robotics, OT, and
Defense.
We're an early-stage startup with active customers, ambitious goals, and a rare opportunity to
define an entirely new category of AI-powered cybersecurity tooling. This is not a
large-company role. You'll be joining at the ground floor and helping shape both our product
capability and company trajectory.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Head of Embedded Product Security who will own the domain expertise,
security architecture methodology, and product security strategy for our AI-native platform.
Because our customers build complex cyber-physical and embedded systems, you must
possess a deep background in hardware-adjacent security, firmware analysis, and threat
modeling for embedded devices.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between deep security tradecraft and AI engineering. You will
codify your expert knowledge of embedded vulnerabilities into our autonomous agent workflows,
ensuring our AI workforce thinks like an elite embedded security engineer. This is a highly
collaborative, foundational role working directly with the founders and engineering team to
ensure our autonomous platform delivers tier-one security analysis.
What You'll Do
-
Define Domain Logic: Work alongside AI engineers to translate complex embedded security concepts, vulnerability patterns, and threat modeling frameworks into autonomous agent behaviors.
-
Product Security Strategy: Shape the roadmap for how ArgusEye analyzes firmware, secure boot sequences, cryptographic implementations, and hardware interfaces.
-
Lead Security Architecture: Serve as the internal authority on embedded product security, hardware-software interfaces, and cyber-physical threat vectors.
-
Customer Collaboration: Partner directly with product security leaders at top MedTech, consumer electronics, defense, and robotics companies to validate our platform's analysis and map out advanced security workflows.
-
Platform Trust: Ensure the highest standard of security for ArgusEye’s own platform, APIs, and infrastructure, establishing trust with enterprise customers.
-
Industry Leadership: Keep ArgusEye at the cutting edge of regulatory shifts (e.g., FDA cybersecurity mandates, patches, and software bills of materials) impacting embedded and cyber-physical domains.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
-
Embedded Systems Expertise: Proven experience securing embedded systems, RTOS, firmware, or IoT devices. You understand hardware-level security concepts like JTAG debugging, side-channel analysis, and secure enclaves.
-
Threat Modeling Mastery: Extensive experience performing threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE) and security architecture reviews on complex cyber-physical architectures.
-
Startup Grit: Comfort operating in ambiguity, moving fast, and taking a problem from a blank canvas to a production capability.
-
Technical Communication: Ability to break down highly technical hardware/firmware security concepts into structured logic that can inform software and AI workflows.
-
Coding/Scripting Proficiency: Ability to read and write code (preferably Python or C/C++) to audit code, build tooling, or interface with backend systems.
Nice to Have
-
Experience working at an early-stage startup or in a high-growth environment.
-
Familiarity with binary analysis tools, disassemblers (IDA Pro, Ghidra), or firmware
-
extraction.
-
Understanding of modern AI/LLM concepts and how they can be applied to automate
-
security workflows.
-
Active involvement in the hardware security or product security community (DefCon,
-
BlackHat, or relevant publications).
Why Join ArgusEye
-
Founding-level ownership, influence, and significant equity opportunity.
-
Direct impact on company direction, product strategy, and technical architecture.
-
Work on deeply challenging problems at the intersection of AI, hardware, and cybersecurity.
-
Build alongside experienced founders and elite engineering talent.
-
Opportunity to scale a domain-expert organization from scratch.
Location
We're building our team in the Bay Area and strongly prefer candidates who can work onsite
regularly. We support a flexible hybrid environment, but believe that in-person collaboration
accelerates learning, decision-making, and company building during the early stages. Remote opportunities open as well.
How to Apply
If you're excited about building category-defining AI technology for cyber-physical security and
want to help create a company from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
