Job Description

Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive and technology industry, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the development and testing of cutting-edge hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Engineer - Test Development

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $70-$75/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Develop, document, and execute component and system-level hardware testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, design, and system engineers to characterize the functional performance of hardware components.
  • Conduct development testing on early prototypes and qualification testing on modules intended for vehicle use.
  • Create and develop custom test assets such as load simulators, test harnesses, and Python scripts.
  • Draft and present test plans, design reviews, and data reviews to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.

What's Needed?

  • B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in electronics development and testing.
  • Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Altium, 3DExperience, or Catia.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, spectrum analyzers, and more; familiarity with Ubuntu and Python is essential.
