About the role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Electrical Hardware Engineer, looking to make their mark on some of the most high-profile and strategically critical Australian Defence Industry programs.

Our Hardware Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development of electronic systems, showcasing expertise in both hardware and embedded software.

Your core duties involve conducting and reporting on sea trials, overseeing aspects like shipment coordination and trial setup, while responsibilities encompass collaboration with manufacturers, PCB layout work, comprehensive report writing, embedded systems development, signal processing, outlining system requirements, effective customer interaction, and organizing and executing sea trials.

About you

To be successful in this role and to best leverage opportunities that L3Harris will provide, some of the skills & qualifications ideal applicants will bring include;

• Tertiary qualifications in Electronics / Mechatronics or related discipline
• Ability to create and interpret engineering data, e.g circuit diagrams, mechanical drawings, context and data flow diagrams
• Experience in hardware integration, testing and acceptance
• Programming skills in C/C++ and Python
