Hardware Engineer

This role is only for VERY dedicated & uniquely capably applicants. As a founding member of the hardware team, you will be expected to be able to know / do / figure out EVERYTHING. We are not talking full-stack, we are talking OVERFLOWING STACK.

Mechanical design, electronics, optics, hydraulics, aerodynamics, prototyping, industrial design, user factors, manufacturing, testing, firmware, AI, robotics, sensors, comms, actuators, vehicles, thermodynamics, materials, coatings, supply chain, vendor management, computer vision, maintenance, architecture... you name it.  You will wear ALL of the hats.

We expect you to have skill, experience, curiosity, strategy, humility, grit, kindness.  You should be comfortable with extreme adversity, ambiguity, & variability.  No job is beneath you. No job is above you. This is a startup among startups!

• Mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related degree.
• Experience designing, building, & scaling robust, outdoor, automotive-grade, mechatronics systems with several past projects.
• Ability to work in person (in Accra, Ghana) & full time as your sole professional focus.
• Deeply knowledgeable about target market, component availability, supply chains, & appropriate manufacturing methods .
• Highly collaborative, cooperative, constructive, amiable, & excited
• Strong mission alignment, extremely honest, hardworking, responsible, & punctual.
• Fluent in English.
