Hardware Engineer (WiFi & Broadband Access Products)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a global leader in broadband access and networking solutions, serving telecommunications operators and enterprise customers worldwide. They are currently expanding their engineering team and seeking experienced Hardware Engineers to support the development of next-generation WiFi-enabled broadband access products.

Mandarin is NOT required. Strong English communication skills are sufficient for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware solutions for WiFi-enabled broadband access products, including gateways, routers, and networking devices.
• Lead component selection and hardware architecture design activities.
• Create and review hardware schematics for new product development.
• Guide PCB layout activities and ensure compliance with design best practices.
• Perform prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct RF testing, performance analysis, and optimization.
• Support CE/FCC certification and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with software, RF, testing, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical support for customer projects and product deployment activities.
• Participate in WiFi performance tuning and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience developing WiFi-enabled products such as:
• Broadband Gateways
• Wireless Routers
• Access Network Equipment
• Home Networking Devices
• Strong understanding of hardware development processes.
• Experience in schematic design and component selection.
• Familiarity with PCB design principles and layout review.
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation.
• Experience using RF testing equipment such as:
• Spectrum Analyzer
• IQ-Stream
• Similar RF measurement tools
• Familiarity with CE and FCC certification requirements.
• Professional English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Octoscope or similar WiFi testing platforms.
• Experience in WiFi performance optimization.
• Experience supporting telecom operators or broadband equipment vendors.
• Customer-facing technical support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional product development environments.
