Boschung Mecatronic AG is the technology-driven entity within the Boschung Group responsible for the engineering, production, sales, and after-sales of advanced electronic, mechatronic, and software systems dedicated to the detection and management of road and airport surface conditions. Our technologies combine sensors, embedded electronics, connectivity, and intelligent software platforms deployed on critical infrastructures worldwide. Looking to strengthen our Hardware R&D team, Boschung Mecatronic AG is looking for an experienced and hands-on Hardware Electronics Engineer with strong expertise in electronics and PCB design, combined with a passion for innovation and product development.

Your tasks

• Design and develop electronic hardware and embedded software for new products, from concept through validation and industrialization.
• Contribute to the development of innovative technical concepts and actively participate in the creation of next-generation products and technologies.
• Analyze customer and product requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and define appropriate validation and test plans.
• Design electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCB), ensuring compliance with quality, reliability, manufacturability, and applicable industry standards.
• Develop, test, and validate hardware solutions while supporting embedded software integration.
• Maintain and continuously improve existing products, including identifying and qualifying alternatives for obsolete or unavailable electronic components.
• Ensure high-quality product development through thorough documentation, design reviews, testing, and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Software, Product Management, Production, Sourcing, Sales, and After-Sales teams to deliver robust and market-oriented solutions.
• Support the industrialization of new products by defining and reviewing manufacturing and testing procedures to ensure a smooth transition to production.

Your profile

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electronic hardware development.
• Proven experience in the design and development of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCB) for industrial or embedded applications.
• Strong knowledge of schematic capture, PCB design, component selection, and hardware validation.
• Experience developing products from concept through prototyping, testing, and industrialization.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and embedded software development is an asset.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, EMC, and environmental standards is considered a plus.
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment alongside software, mechanical, and production teams.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive, with a hands-on approach and a passion for developing reliable, high-quality products.
