Job Title: System Firmware Test Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099).

This System Firmware Test Engineer is a senior firmware validation/QA position focused on EPYC server platforms , combining traditional firmware testing with AI-driven test automation .

Core Focus Areas:

1. Firmware Validation & Debugging (60%)

• Execute firmware and platform-level test suites.
• Validate BIOS/firmware functionality during boot and runtime.
• Debug firmware, platform, automation, and infrastructure issues.
• Work closely with firmware developers to isolate and resolve defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis and provide reproducible bug reports.

2. Test Development & Automation (20%)

• Design end-to-end firmware test plans.
• Build automated regression tests.
• Develop test frameworks and harnesses.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve coverage, reporting, and execution efficiency.

3. AI & Agentic QA Development (20%)

• Build AI-powered testing solutions.
• Test case generation

Technical Skills Required

• Server platforms

Programming Required:

• C/C++

Firmware Technologies Experience with:
