Firmware Test Engineer

Title: System Firmware Test Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Long Term W2 Contract (potential extension)

Key Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Firmware Validation, Firmware QA, System Validation, or Test Development

• Strong experience with BIOS/UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, and Server Platform Validation

• Hands-on experience with SoC bring-up, low-level debugging, and system-level testing

• Programming experience in C/C++ and scripting with Python

• Experience developing automated test frameworks, regression suites, and CI/CD-integrated testing

• Knowledge of enterprise server architectures (AMD EPYC preferred)

• Experience with PCIe, CXL, DDR Memory Validation, RAS, Power Management, Virtualization, or Platform Security features

• Exposure to AI/LLM-based tools, Agentic AI, RAG, or AI-driven test automation is highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute firmware validation and regression tests

• Debug firmware, platform, automation, and infrastructure issues

• Collaborate with firmware architects and validation teams to improve test coverage

• Build scalable test automation frameworks and CI-integrated solutions

• Develop AI-powered QA workflows for test generation, regression optimization, and defect analysis

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
