Firmware Engineer

We're partnering with a growing medical device technology company that is expanding its engineering team and hiring both a Firmware Engineer and a Senior Firmware Engineer.

These roles will support the development of next-generation connected medical and wearable technologies. Compensation and level will be based on experience, technical depth, and overall fit.

The team is looking for engineers who are naturally curious, hands-on, and motivated to solve complex technical challenges. Whether you're an early-career engineer building your expertise or a senior engineer ready to lead critical development efforts, there is flexibility around level for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot, and improve embedded firmware for connected electronic devices

• Support PCB integration, hardware bring-up, and system-level testing

• Create test procedures and automation tools, including Python scripts

• Investigate device failures and perform root cause analysis

• Work closely with hardware, firmware, and test engineering teams

• Contribute ideas that improve product performance, reliability, and functionality

• Support products throughout the full development lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical discipline

• Embedded firmware development experience using C/C++

• Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers

• Experience with Bare Metal and/or RTOS environments

• Experience with wireless or communication protocols such as BLE, Bluetooth, WiFi, LTE, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, or similar

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

• US Person required

• Ability to work onsite in a collaborative engineering environment

• Low-power embedded systems

• Medical device, wearable technology, or other regulated product development

• Python scripting and test automation

• Wireless connected devices

Compensation & Benefits

• Firmware Engineer: $110,000 - $120,000

• Senior Firmware Engineer: $140,000 - $150,000
