Firmware Engineer

Firmware Developer – Aerospace – Irvine, California

Location: Irvine, CA

Contract Type: W-2 or 1099 or C2C – 12 Months

Our client is seeking an experienced Firmware Developer for a 12-month contract with an aerospace company in Irvine, CA. The role will be to develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for advanced aerospace systems.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in developing embedded firmware in C/C++ for ARM based systems. Comfortable with development at the low-level (device drivers and boot).
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfaces, and debugging tools.
• Real-Time multi-threaded knowledge.
• Experience working in the aerospace industry or familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations is preferred but not required.
• Experience with version control and software development best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The client is ideally looking to move as quickly as possible but will accommodate a later start for a quality and experienced candidate against the above criteria.
