Embedded Systems Engineer

AirUnit is a Ukrainian defense-tech company and the exclusive representative of Aaronia spectrum monitoring solutions in Ukraine. We develop and integrate UAV, RF, EW (Electronic Warfare) and SIGINT systems used in real-world defense applications.

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of software, hardware and radio technologies.

What you'll do

• Develop software and firmware for UAV, RF and embedded systems
• Work with Linux-based platforms and embedded devices
• Integrate sensors, communication modules and RF equipment
• Process and analyze real-time data streams
• Develop and optimize C/C++ applications
• Work with Ethernet, UART, SPI, I2C and other interfaces
• Participate in hardware-software integration and system testing
• Improve system performance and reliability
• Contribute to new defense and UAV products

Required skills

• Strong C/C++ knowledge
• Linux development experience
• Understanding of multithreading and real-time systems
• Experience with embedded systems or hardware integration
• Experience with communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB)
• Ability to work independently and own technical tasks

Nice to have

• STM32, ESP32 or other MCUs
• RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.)
• SDR experience
• GNU Radio
• Signal Processing / DSP
• RF, Telecom, UAV or Defense Tech experience
• Python scripting
• Low-latency systems
