Company Overview

***** Mobility Group makes the electric revolution work. Every day, we work to improve people’s lives and the environment by making power management technologies that are more reliable, efficient, safe, and sustainable. We create an environment where creativity, invention, and discovery become reality. Our Mobility Group collaborates with companies around the globe to innovate future transportation technologies, creating efficient vehicles that travel faster, farther, and safer at a lower overall cost to the consumer and the environment.

Position Overview

• Environment: Cross-functional matrix environment

• Core Purpose: Lead software development activity supporting DCDC Converters, Transmission Control Units, Power Distribution and Protection Units, and other related automotive EV products. Oversee embedded software project development from start to finish to deliver high-quality software on time, in compliance with industry standards (such as ISO 26262), and aligned with hardware development schedules.

• Leadership Role: Lead a global program team of controls and software developers through clear communication, goal setting, and good decision-making amid ambiguity. Collaborate across time zones and engineering stakeholders to align program schedules and create a master software plan. Responsible for project proposals and timing estimations for new projects or RFQ activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, work breakdown structure (WBS), and detailed milestone schedules synchronized with internal/external milestones.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for OEM customers; lead steering committee meetings and manage internal/external expectations.

• Proactively identify technical, resource, and timing risks; develop mitigation plans and escalate critical path issues to executive leadership when necessary.

• Ensure all software work products meet industry standards, specifically ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) and ISO26262 (Functional Safety).

• Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) within a traditionally Waterfall automotive environment.

• Evaluate and negotiate software change requests from the customer, ensuring impacts on budget and timing are accounted for and quoted.

• Synchronize software deliveries with hardware samples, testing (HiL, SiL), and manufacturing requirements.

• Serve as the central nexus for all project-related communication, balancing the competing priorities of external OEM customers, internal cross-functional teams, and executive leadership.

• Drive the continuous optimization of automotive software development lifecycles (SDLC) and project management methodologies by identifying systemic bottlenecks and implementing scalable improvements across internal and external workflows.

• Partner directly with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to synchronize high-level project milestones with granular sprint execution.
