About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support an Advanced Development Program focused on building the initial software foundation for an AUTOSAR-based system.
This role requires strong expertise in embedded C development and system-level design, working closely with architects and AUTOSAR specialists to deliver scalable, integration-ready software components for automotive platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop core embedded C software modules forming the foundation of AUTOSAR-based systems
• Collaborate with software architects to define module behavior, interfaces, and integration strategies
• Design software components aligned with AUTOSAR integration requirements
• Implement system functionalities including power management, diagnostics (UDS), and communication services
• Analyze and debug system-level issues across prototype and test environments
• Work with CAN tools (CANalyzer/CANoe) for communication analysis
• Develop and support SENT (SAE J2716) communication interfaces and drivers
• Participate in unit testing, static code analysis, and verification processes
• Utilize embedded development tools including compilers, debuggers, and build systems
• Follow automotive standards including ASPICE processes and ISO 26262 functional safety guidelines
• Collaborate with global teams and contribute to early-stage development and architecture decisions
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in embedded C software development
• Strong experience with 16/32-bit microcontrollers (TriCore, NXP S32, Renesas, Cypress, etc.)
• Proven experience building embedded software modules (state management, communication, diagnostics, power modes)
• Understanding of AUTOSAR concepts and AUTOSAR-ready development practices
• Experience with automotive protocols such as CAN and diagnostics (UDS)
• Proficiency with debugging tools, compilers, and embedded build environments
• Hands-on experience with unit testing, static analysis, and software verification
• Knowledge of ASPICE and automotive software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety fundamentals
Preferred Skills
• Experience with occupant sensing or airbag systems
• Exposure to early-stage prototype or advanced R&D programs
• Familiarity with functional safety artifacts (FMEA, FMEDA)
• Strong system-level debugging and integration experience
