Job Description

Join RTX’s BSP team and help build the embedded Linux platforms that support products across our healthcare, enterprise, and ProAudio segments. We develop and maintain Yocto-based BSP solutions for NXP i.MX platforms with a strong focus on security, robustness, maintainability, and product quality. In this role, you will work closely with hardware, integration, and product teams and contribute to platform design, development, testing, automation, and lifecycle maintenance.

Some of your key responsibilities will entail:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Yocto-based Linux BSP solutions for NXP i.MX platforms with focus on robustness, security, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to board bring-up, low-level integration, debugging, and troubleshooting across bootloaders, kernel, drivers, and system software in collaboration with hardware and integration teams.
  • Strengthen our development flow through Jenkins-based CI/CD, PyTest-based automation, release support, and efficient platform maintenance.
  • Drive security hardening and lifecycle maintenance of the Linux platform, including CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch integration, and support for Cyber Resilience Act compliance.

We expect you to have:

  • Experience with embedded Linux platform development, ideally including Yocto for NXP i.MX processors and low-level software such as bootloaders, kernel configuration, device drivers, and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with structured software development, debugging, and test automation, including Jenkins for CI/CD and Python/PyTest for platform validation.
  • Experience with security hardening, vulnerability handling, or lifecycle maintenance of embedded Linux platforms is an advantage.
  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a similar relevant engineering field – or equivalent practical experience.
  • A methodical and quality-focused mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, supported by strong written and spoken English.

Primary place of work is our headquarters in Nørresundby, with possible flexibility to work from our Aarhus office.

What we offer:

In the BSP team, you will join experienced platform engineers working across embedded Linux, low-level integration, automation, and maintenance. We offer a technically strong environment with room for influence, close collaboration across disciplines, and the opportunity to shape common platform capabilities that create value across multiple RTX product areas.

At RTX, we offer a position in an international business in growth with a flexible and flat management structure. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, challenging tasks, and a team of highly skilled professionals. You will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the successful growth journey of RTX.

Who we are:

At RTX, wireless is not just wireless! We make an effort to understand how the specific use cases can be optimized through wireless technology, as well as explore how the link between products configured in a system can make a difference and help the user perform at their best.

We innovate, design, and manufacture wireless communication solutions within three segments:

  • Enterprise solutions covering amongst others, wireless communication systems connecting handsets and headsets via base stations.
  • Healthcare solutions where wireless systems are used for monitoring critically ill patients, among others.
  • ProAudio solutions, including communication modules used in e.g., advanced team intercom solutions, and live event and studio equipment, providing high audio quality

We have the ambition to create ground-breaking technologies while also creating value for our customers and end-users. Working in close partnership with our customers, we offer customized, ‘turn-key’, end-to-end solutions with full product lifecycle management designed to meet the ambition of their portfolio and brand.

An international arena

At RTX, you get to unfold your ambitions in an international environment. We offer our employees a multitude of opportunities to use their skills in an international environment in cooperation with customers and partners around the world. We are a European company operating globally and employ 320+ people at our locations in Denmark, Hong Kong, Philippines, Romania and USA, with our headquarters in Nørresundby, Denmark.

Exceed your career aspirations

We believe in giving our employees the best challenges to develop their skills by offering several different career paths. To ensure the best start, you will be assigned to a tutor and go through an onboarding program, which includes an introduction to how we work.

Work-life balance

We believe that maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential and actively support our employees in managing their professional and personal commitments.

A social environment with a strong community

At RTX, we value the social aspect highly. For RTX to be a great place to work, we find it important to support a strong social community. Therefore, we arrange various events and social gatherings during the year.

We have an informal and casual working environment, and every day of the week we go to lunch together in our canteen. Next to our canteen, we have different physical facilities in the form of a sports hall, frequently used for joint sports activities, and a fitness room - all for free use. We believe that with a strong community we can provide the best solutions.

We encourage applications from people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and from individuals with disabilities.
