Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Participate in the SW design and development cycles of the embedded SW for our ASIC products
Develop and execute test cases to verify both SW and ASIC design implementation are meeting the intended use cases and requirements
Run HW and SW simulation on emulation platform
Perform performance profiling and analysis
Develop support tools and utilities to facilitate design and verification processes
Be an active member of the SoC FW team design process
Minimum qualifications
Co-op students in Electrical or Computer Engineering or in Computer Science (or related).
Familiarity with standard C++ compilers and Integrated Development Environments
Experience of developing firmware and/or software for embedded products
Good understanding of Operating Systems Real Time Operating Systems concepts and the use of Linux as embedded operating system.
Proficient in C and/or C++ programming with best engineering and software development practices.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proactive, can-do attitude.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other standard lab equipment a plus.
Experience with using Linux as a development environment.
The candidate should be familiar with industry standard tools such as Git, vi, gdb, etc...
Familiar with basic protocols such as IP, TCP/UDP, Ethernet, SWD, I2C, UART, etc.
