About the Role

This position is with one of our esteemed clients in the sensor manufacturing / automotive industry.

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Embedded Software Architect / Leader to help develop smart air quality sensor solutions for indoor & automotive applications and emerging EV and Fuel Cell vehicles with H2 sensor.

Responsibilities

Embedded Software Team Leadership

■ Lead and mentor a small team of embedded software developers and software test engineers

■ Oversee the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, testing, and validation)

■ Ensure compliance with automotive standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE)

■ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and quality assurance

■ Drive continuous improvement in development processes and tools

■ Participate in technical reviews and provide guidance on complex issues

Software Architectural Design

■ Develop and document the software architectural design specifying elements with respect to

functional and non-functional requirements

■ Allocate software requirements to the elements of the software architectural design

■ Identify, develop, and document interfaces of each software element

■ Evaluate and document timing and dynamic interaction of software elements to meet required

system behavior

■ Determine and document resource consumption objectives for all relevant elements of the

architectural design

■ Evaluate alternative software architectures and record rationale for the chosen architecture

■ Ensure consistency and bidirectional traceability between software requirements and

architectural design

Sensor Integration and Development

■ Design and implement software solutions for integrating various automotive sensors

■ Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of sensors with embedded

systems

■ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensor integration and functionality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• 7+ years of proven experience in embedded software development / architecture / leadership,

preferably in automotive

• Strong knowledge of ASPICE standards, particularly SWE.2 and SWE.3 processes

• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems development tools

• Extensive experience with automotive sensors and actuators

• Familiarity with sensor data acquisition, processing, and interpretation techniques

• Experience with software architecture design and detailed design documentation

• Familiarity with SDLC, version control systems (SVN, Git), and CI/CD practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with safety-critical software development and ISO 26262 standards

• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architectures
