Job Title: Embedded IoT Hardware & Firmware Engineer
Experience Level: 3+ Years (Mid-Level)
Location: Rohini, Delhi, India (On-site )
Job Type: Full-Time
## Job Overview
We are looking for a versatile and analytical Embedded IoT Hardware & Firmware Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team in Rohini, Delhi. This role requires a unique individual who can bridge the gap between physical hardware and low-level software. You will be responsible for the entire life cycle of our products—from designing complex 4 to 5-layer PCBs in Altium/KiCad to writing robust, efficient firmware in C/C++ to bring that hardware to life.
If you are a natural problem solver who loves writing firmware just as much as optimizing high-speed PCB layouts, this role is for you.
## Key Responsibilities
Multi-Layer PCB Layout: Design, route, and optimize 4 to 5+ layer printed circuit boards using Altium Designer or KiCad, focusing on signal integrity, proper power planes, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
Firmware Development: Write clean, optimized, and reliable firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32, Nordic nRF, or AVR/ARM architectures) utilizing bare-metal programming or RTOS.
IoT Protocols & Connectivity: Implement and debug wireless communication stacks (Wi-Fi, BLE, cellular, LoRa) and wired protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN bus, RS-485).
Hardware-Firmware Bring-up: Use lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and debuggers like J-Link/ST-Link) to flash, test, and troubleshoot new prototype boards.
Component Sourcing & DFM: Select components, manage local/international Bills of Materials (BOM), and design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly constraints.
## Job Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Education:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electronic product design, multi-layer PCB layout, and firmware development.
B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Technical Skills (Hardware):
EDA Software: High proficiency in Altium Designer and/or KiCad.
Stackup Mastery: Proven experience successfully shipping functional 4 to 5-layer boards. Must understand high-speed routing constraints, impedance matching, and solid grounding strategies.
Technical Skills (Firmware):
Languages: Expert-level knowledge of C and C++ for embedded systems.
Environment: Familiarity with modern IDEs and frameworks (STM32CubeIDE, ESP-IDF, VS Code with PlatformIO, or Arduino IDE for rapid prototyping).
Concepts: Deep understanding of interrupts, timers, DMA, memory management, and low-power optimization for battery-operated IoT devices.
Soft Skills & Problem Solving:
Excellent Debugging Skills: The ability to systematically isolate a bug—knowing whether a failure is caused by a noisy PCB layout line, a faulty hardware component, or a race condition in your firmware code.
## What We Offer
Salary: Competitive package matching Delhi-NCR market standards for a 3+ year mid-level embedded engineer (commensurate with technical test performance).
Work Environment: A fully equipped hardware development and testing lab right here in Rohini.
Convenience: Easily accessible via the Delhi Metro network (Red and Yellow lines).
Standard paid leaves, festival bonuses, and performance-linked project incentives
