Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based at IIT Delhi Sonipat Campus for an Embedded Hardware & PCB Reverse Engineering Engineer.

We are looking for an engineer who can analyze and reverse engineer existing PCBs and electronic products, understand their hardware architecture, recreate schematics, and integrate new hardware or features into existing systems. The role involves working closely with embedded software and robotics teams to develop and validate reliable hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Reverse engineer existing PCBs and electronic hardware.

Analyze circuits, identify components, and recreate schematics.

Understand existing hardware architecture and integrate new features into current PCB designs.

Design and modify multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer, KiCad, or EasyEDA.

Develop embedded hardware using STM32, ESP32,ARM Cortex, or Raspberry Pi platforms.

Interface sensors, motors, communication modules, and power systems.

Debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
-
Collaborate with firmware engineers for hardware-software integration.
-
Perform prototype testing, validation, and troubleshooting.

Prepare manufacturing files including Gerber, BOM, and Pick & Place files.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

1+ years of industry experience in PCB reverse engineering, embedded hardware development, or electronic product design.

Strong experience analyzing and reverse engineering existing PCBs and electronic systems.

Experience working with Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2).

Understanding of SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), navigation, localization, and robotic sensor integration.

Experience integrating sensors such as LiDAR, IMU, depth cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and encoders into robotic systems.

Ability to understand hardware architecture and integrate new hardware into existing designs.

Experience recreating schematics from physical PCBs.

Proficiency in Altium Designer, KiCad, or EasyEDA.

Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, PCB design, and embedded systems.

Experience with Embedded C/C++.

Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, and CAN.

Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters for debugging.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
