About the Role

We are a fast-growing deep-tech startup based in Dubai, building innovative engineering, design, and manufacturing solutions. We are seeking an Embedded Hardware/Firmware Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of advanced autonomous systems and intelligent products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain firmware for STM32-based devices.
• Interface and integrate sensors including IMU, GPS, radar, ultrasonic sensors, and CAN-based systems.
• Contribute to the design, selection, and implementation of computer vision modules.
• Develop AI-based algorithms for object detection, lane detection, sensor fusion, and related applications.
• Select and integrate MAVLink communication modules.
• Design and implement telemetry solutions.
• Develop robust UART/USB serial communication protocols.
• Debug and troubleshoot I2C, UART, GPIO, CAN, and timing-related issues.
• Perform bench testing and validation of sensors and controller systems prior to full system integration.
• Support electrical and mechanical integration activities within vehicle platforms.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, test reports, and wiring diagrams.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the autonomous vehicle domain .
• Minimum 1 year of experience in hardware selection and firmware development in the automotive industry or a similar field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in instrumentation, testing, and system integration .
• Strong experience in firmware development for STM32 products.
• Proficiency with electronic debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, CAN analyzers, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering , or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an R&D environment or a similar engineering setting.

Skills

• Strong analytical and system-level problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
