Job Description

Embedded Hardware Engineer

Experience : 3-8 Years

Location : Ahmedabad, Work from Office

Salary : 8-9 LPA

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Embedded Hardware Engineer to join

our multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role you will own the full electronics

hardware lifecycle — from concept and schematic capture through PCB layout,

fabrication, bring-up, and handoff to production. You will collaborate closely with

firmware, mechanical, and production teams to build robust, manufacturable, and

cost-effective hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

Schematic & Circuit Design

Design and review analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal schematics using

industry-standard EDA tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence, or equivalent)

Select appropriate components based on electrical performance, availability, lead

time, and cost

Perform schematic DRC and peer reviews to ensure design correctness before layout

PCB Layout & Fabrication

Create high-quality multi-layer PCB layouts following signal-integrity, EMC, and

thermal management best practices

Apply PCB DFMA (Design for Manufacturability & Assembly) guidelines to reduce

fabrication risk and assembly cost

Generate fabrication packages (Gerbers, drill files, assembly drawings, IPC-2581) and

coordinate with PCB fab vendors

Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and version-controlled design files

Bill of Materials (BoM)

Create, maintain, and validate multi-level BoMs including MPNs, approved vendor

lists (AVLs), and alternates

Work with procurement to ensure part availability and manage obsolescence risk

Prototyping & Soldering

Assemble and rework prototype PCBs including fine-pitch SMD (0402, QFP, BGA)

and through-hole components using hot-air, reflow, and soldering stations

Build test jigs and bench setups to support rapid prototype evaluation

Board Bring-Up & Hardware Debugging

Lead board bring-up activities: power sequencing, clocking, communication bus

verification (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, Ethernet)

Debug hardware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, spectrum

analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers

Work with firmware engineers to validate hardware–firmware interactions and

resolve integration issues

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Firmware / Embedded Software teams on hardware bring-up and driver

development

Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering on board form-factor, connector

placement, and thermal solutions

Support Production Engineering with DFM feedback, test fixture design, and

manufacturing documentation

Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR) and contribute to project schedules and

risk assessments
