Job Description

Company Description

Aetherion Robotics is an early-stage robotics company in Milford, New Jersey, building predictive terrain intelligence for autonomous ground vehicles. Our systems let a vehicle assess ground it has not yet driven over, fusing aerial and ground sensor data to predict how that terrain will behave before the wheels touch it. The work runs across machine learning, uncertainty quantification, physics simulation, and real-time deployment on vehicle hardware. We are a small technical team that backs its claims with peer-reviewed research and field-validated results, and we are scaling the platform from simulation toward deployed systems.

Role Description

Make the system run in real time on the vehicle, deploying models and sensor pipelines onto edge hardware.

What you’ll do

• Deploy and optimize inference on NVIDIA Jetson using TensorRT and CUDA.

• Integrate LiDAR and other sensors at the driver and hardware level.

• Build data pipelines that meet tight latency and reliability targets.

• Manage on-vehicle compute, networking, and time synchronization.

• Support hardware bring-up and debugging during field tests.

Required

• Degree in EE, computer engineering, CS, or equivalent experience.

• Strong C++ and Linux systems programming.

• Experience deploying software to embedded or edge platforms.

• ROS2 and real-time systems experience.

• Comfortable with hardware integration and low-level debugging.

Nice to have

• Jetson, CUDA, or TensorRT experience.

• Robotics or autonomous vehicle background.

• Familiarity with sensor drivers and timing.
