Embedded Engineer SoC Engineer

What we are looking for

•     3+ years (5+ preferred) of hands-on embedded firmware and DSP development in C/C++ on a production SoC, baseband, or radar platform.

•     Direct experience with NXP DSP/baseband SoC platforms, for example Layerscape Access (LA-series) and/or the S32R automotive-radar processors, including vector-DSP (VSPA-class) signal-processing development.

•     Comfortable integrating and controlling a commercial RF or mmWave front-end IC from the digital side: configuring it over a control bus (SPI or I2C), driving beam-steering or phase settings, and managing the data and timing interface to a baseband processor. RF-literate enough to reason about link budget, SNR, EVM, and how the RF chain shapes the signal you process.

•     Solid radar or wireless signal-processing fundamentals: waveform design, correlation and matched filtering, channel, phase, and timing estimation, and angle-of-arrival.

•     Strong bare-metal and/or RTOS development, board bring-up, and hardware debug with logic analyzer, oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzer.

•     A builder who can take a subsystem from spec to working hardware with little supervision in a small, fast-moving team.

Bonus points

•     FPGA and RTL development (Verilog or VHDL) for high-speed interfaces, signal pre-processing, or glue logic.

•     Deeper mmWave RF background as a plus: front-end or antenna design and characterization, PLL/LO, PA/LNA, RF layout, or VNA measurement.

•     Experience integrating a sensor with a drone autopilot (PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink).

•     A feel for integrity and fault-detection thinking, or other safety-relevant development practice.

•     Python or MATLAB for algorithm prototyping and bring-up analysis.

•     Practical familiarity with FCC Part 15 RF emissions and moving an RF product toward certification.
