  • Use optical and electrical modelling and simulation tools to design electro-optical devices and data paths
  • Support the development of high-speed linear integrated optical components
  • Analyse technical data, build models, and present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Optoelectronics Engineer / Optical Engineer / Photonics Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience developing high-speed optical modules
  • Experience with semiconductor optical devices such as high-speed photodetectors, high-speed modulators, or integrated waveguide devices
  • Strong understanding of silicon photonics, semiconductor physics, optical component design, fabrication, and test
  • Experience using optical simulation tools, design automation software, EDA flows, or related design methodologies
  • Knowledge of higher order PAM transmission formats
  • Understanding of 2.5D or 3D optical-electronic integration techniques
  • Ability to work with large data sets, statistical analysis tools, and cross-functional engineering teams
