Your role:
As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll be one of the Navy’s electrical and combat systems experts, working onboard ships and ashore. You’ll help solve a variety of engineering challenges, leading a team that maintains systems and equipment, including radar, sonar, communication, navigation, combat and weapons systems.
Whether you have recently finished school, currently studying, already in the workforce or you have no experience at all, we’re hiring. You’ll be paid from day one to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job training. If you’re already studying or ready to study a job-relevant degree at your choice of accredited university, you can join the Navy and have your fees paid for. You’ll earn a salary while you complete your degree and walk straight into a Navy role following graduation.
The professional development you gain as a Navy Engineer enables automatic Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation with Engineers Australia, giving you international recognition of your engineering competency.

Salary:
Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $136,012 for surface fleet and $142,778 for submariners.
