Electronics Engineer (NH-0855-02)
to work at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Member will serve as a professional engineer with systems engineering responsibility in assigned area(s). Considered the technical expert for the organization in general engineering assignments concerning data analytics supporting engineering analysis and decision support for test and evaluation; employee provides technical leadership in planning, analyzing, and evaluating efforts used to define total weapons systems/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, evaluate alternative design approaches, and develop system specifications. Work encompasses several phases of the development process in which the employee guides and evaluates the design and development activities of others.
Salary:
$50,460 - $138,370

Up to 25% travel

This can be a developmental position if candidate meets NH-02 level. Or can be an NH-03 position if candidate comes with more experience.

Qualifications
-
US citizenship is required.

Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

3-5 years’ experience requested.

This position has been designated as an Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).

Professional knowledge of electronics engineering policies, theories, principles and concepts, and familiarity with other engineering disciplines to carry out conventional engineering assignments.

Ability to analyze, interpret and apply electronics engineering rules and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend effective solutions to senior engineers.

Knowledge of computer operations and standard software applications.

A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is preferred.

At a minimum, qualification requirements stipulated by the US Office of Personnel Management for the 0855 occupational series must be met. Advanced degrees are preferred.
