Electronics - Embedded Systems Engineer

BK Telematics, a company active in the fields of Information Technology, Telematics & Internet of Things (IoT), is seeking to hire an Electronics - Embedded Systems Engineer for its Technical Department.

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate of a Technical School or University in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering

• Strong foundational knowledge of C/C++ for microcontrollers

• Familiarity with EDA tools (KiCad or Altium) and the ability to read circuit schematics

• Basic knowledge of Python for scripting and automation is a plus

• 1–2 years of relevant work experience (preferred, but promising juniors will be considered)

• Good command of the English language

• Strong computer skills

• Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)

• Team spirit, sense of responsibility, diligence, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Firmware Development: Write and debug clean, efficient C/C++ code for MCU architectures.

• Connectivity & Networking: Implement and test communication protocols for wired and wireless interfaces, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Cellular, and GNSS/GPS.

• IoT Protocols: Assist in implementing network protocols (MQTT and HTTP) for device-to-cloud telemetry, configuration pulls, and data streaming.

• Peripheral Integration: Configure and test standard communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).

• Python Scripting: Develop and maintain internal Python scripts for automated testing, data logging, or interacting with devices via serial/network interfaces.

• Hardware & BOM Maintenance: Read circuit schematics, navigate PCB layouts in EDA tools (KiCad/Altium), and assist in managing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and tracking electronic component status.

• Hardware Validation: Test physical boards and troubleshoot issues using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

• Power Management & Low-Power Design: Configure and validate power states, sleep modes, and low-power peripherals for energy-constrained applications.

• Project Organization: Maintain clean technical documentation and follow structured Git workflows.
