Your mission
As an Electronic Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering robust electronic systems for space applications. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and involved throughout the full development lifecycle, from early design concepts to production support, ensuring high reliability and performance in demanding environments.
In this role, you will:
- Design, test, and validate multilayer PCBs for both high- and low-power systems using tools such as Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD
- Develop and analyse power electronics, including DC/DC converters, DC/AC regulators, protection systems, and thermal management strategies
- Design signal and low-power circuits for sensors, data acquisition, and embedded communication interfaces
- Build, assemble, and debug electronic prototypes, performing detailed characterisation and validation
- Prepare and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including schematics, test procedures, and verification reports
- Support industrialisation and production phases, ensuring smooth transition to manufacturing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to guarantee performance and reliability in space conditions
Your profile
We are looking for a structured and detail-oriented engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for solving complex challenges.
You bring:
- A degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- At least 2 years of experience in PCB design and electronic hardware development
- Proven expertise in multilayer PCB design and EDA tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD)
- Solid knowledge of power electronics, including conversion topologies, component sizing, and thermal management
- Experience with low-power and signal electronics (e.g. amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, SPI, UART, CAN interfaces)
- Understanding of high- and low-power coexistence challenges (EMC, noise, plane separation)
- Experience integrating microcontrollers (STM32, ARM Cortex, or similar)
- Hands-on experience in prototype assembly, testing, and debugging
- Strong ability to create and interpret technical documentation
It’s a plus if you also have:
- Experience working under aerospace standards (ECSS, MIL-STD)
- Familiarity with space qualification testing (thermal vacuum, vibration, radiation, shock)
- Knowledge of space communication buses (SpaceWire, CAN, RS-422, MIL-STD-1553)
- Previous experience in space or defence projects
You are:
- Analytical and solution-oriented, with high technical accuracy
- Well-organised and able to meet project milestones
- A proactive team player with strong collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary and complex engineering environments
- Clear and effective in communication and documentation
Why us?
- Work on real space hardware that will fly in orbit, not just simulations or papers
- Be part of a fast-growing European space startup shaping the future of sustainable space operations
- Hands-on access to labs, test campaigns and cutting-edge technology from day one
- Join a highly collaborative, respectful and supportive team where knowledge is shared openly
- Enjoy a great work environment that values trust, autonomy, learning and good energy at work
- Strong technical growth path in a scaling company, where your work has visible impact and you actively help shape both the technology and the way we work
About us
We are leading the development of the
first air-breathing electric propulsion (ABEP) system designed specifically for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO). This revolutionary engine enables satellites to orbit between 150 and 300 km by capturing and using atmospheric particles as propellant.
By eliminating the need to carry fuel onboard, we drastically increase efficiency and overcome the main challenge of atmospheric drag in VLEO. This disruptive technology opens the door to an entirely new generation of space services, from
high-resolution Earth observation to
near real-time communications.
To achieve it, we rely on a team of professionals who are passionate, visionary, and committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible. If you share this passion and want to leave your mark on the future of the space industry, we want to meet you.
