Job Description

Position Summary

Provide technical support in electronic and hardware engineering for PCBA manufacturing projects, including design documentation review, new product introduction, technical validation, failure analysis, engineering changes, and production issue resolution. This position is mainly focused on electronic products related to power tools, such as controllers, chargers, power modules, battery electronic modules, motor control systems, and related electronic systems.


Responsibilities

  1. Review electrical and electronic requirements, schematics, BOM, PCB layout, and technical documentation for PCBA products.
  2. Participate in new product introduction, production transfer, and manufacturing launch activities.
  3. Evaluate design packages before production launch, ensuring compatibility with customer requirements and plant manufacturing conditions.
  4. Support design reviews, technical validation, DFM/DFT analysis, and product technical risk assessment.
  5. Provide technical support to SMT, DIP, assembly, and functional testing lines to resolve electrical, electronic, or process-related issues.
  6. Conduct failure analysis on PCBA, electronic components, circuits, and finished products using measurement and testing equipment.
  7. Coordinate engineering changes, including ECN/ECO, alternative component validation, impact analysis, and documentation updates.
  8. Prepare technical reports, 8D/FACA analysis, validation records, defect analysis, and support documentation for internal and external customers.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic engineering, hardware engineering, PCBA, EMS, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience with power tool products is highly desirable, especially controllers, chargers, batteries, power modules, or motor control systems.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting schematics, electrical diagrams, BOM, PCB layout, and technical documentation.
  • Experience in PCBA failure analysis, circuit diagnosis, functional testing, and technical support to production.
  • Knowledge of PCB and PCBA processes, including SMT, DIP, soldering, electronic assembly, ICT, FCT, and quality acceptance criteria.
  • Knowledge of PCB design tools is desirable, especially Cadence Allegro; experience with Valor Trilogy 5000 / NPI will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of EMC / EMI, DFM / DFT, power electronics, BMS, chargers, motor control, electrical safety, or IPC standards will be considered a plus.
