What we're building

A deep-tech venture pioneering long-range wireless power transmission for land, airborne, and space applications — across both laser-based and microwave/RF systems. The vision is a future where energy can be delivered precisely where it is needed, instantly and wirelessly, removing the dependence on heavy batteries, massive backups, and extensive cabling.

Think of it as building infrastructure to relay power over distance the way data moves through the internet — seamless, scalable, and continuously connected. Applications span remote ground installations, high-altitude platforms, defence and off-grid systems, spacecraft, and eventually continuous space-based solar power beamed to earth.

It sits at the intersection of space technology, energy transition, and deep hardware — one of the few problems that could meaningfully reshape how the world generates and moves energy over the next two decades.

What this role is

Co-Founder & Head of Power Systems and Operations.

On the engineering side, you will lead the technical strategy and execution for laser-based and RF/microwave power transmission systems. This means architecting power systems from first principles, defining the engineering roadmap, overseeing simulations and experiments, and guiding prototype development from concept to deployment. You will integrate power system design with optics, controls, and safety systems across land, airborne, and space applications — ensuring scalability and reliability at each stage.

On the company side, you'll co-own operations — entity formation, incubator and grant applications, vendor and procurement, program management, and fundraising operations alongside the CEO. You'll also engage directly with potential customers and partners, contribute to technical pre-sales conversations, support investor fundraising by articulating the engineering vision and roadmap, and help position the technology across sectors.

This isn't a pure engineering role. You'll be a founder — you carry both.

Who I'm looking for

A background in power electronics, energy systems engineering, electrical engineering, or energy science. Hands-on experience with at least one of: power conversion systems, RF power chains, rectenna or RF-to-DC systems, high-voltage or aerospace power electronics, laser-based power systems, or energy storage and conditioning.

Strong analytical skills to design, model, and optimize complex power and energy systems — including performance evaluation and risk assessment. Comfortable making architecture decisions with incomplete information and iterating fast.

Effective communication — able to present technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams, customers, partners, and investors. Comfortable participating in technical pre-sales and helping articulate value propositions across different sectors, including content and positioning support.

Research-oriented — able to explore emerging technologies, review scientific literature, design experiments, and drive innovation in power systems and laser transmission.

An advanced degree (Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or a related field) is preferred. Equivalent practical experience on hardware-heavy or aerospace-adjacent programs is equally welcome — if you're a builder with a strong portfolio, that works too.

Prior experience in deep-tech startups, R&D environments, or product development in energy or hardware-intensive sectors is a strong advantage.

Willing to own the operations side of the company alongside the engineering side. Able to thrive in an early-stage startup environment, take full ownership, work independently, and build and lead a growing team.

What's on the table

Meaningful equity — up to 25–30%, structured with standard vesting. A true co-founding seat with full ownership of your domain. Direct exposure to fundraising, investor conversations, and the business side of building a deep-tech company. Founder-level access to the space-tech and energy ecosystem we'll build together.

The founding team already has mechanical and aerospace engineering covered. I'm looking for the power and energy counterpart — the person whose domain completes the picture.

What I expect

Full dedication from day one — not after funding, not alongside a current job. Daily availability for remote collaboration during the compatibility phase. Full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru once the company is formally registered, with flexibility for some remote work. Willingness to relocate if the company is incorporated or registered in another city.
