About Team
The team is developing middleware, media and application development kit for html and native applications for Vizio tv platform. We work with our product, vendor and app partners to make high quality products for our customers.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to Review product requirements and create technical requirements.
- Contribute to Design and architect new products, understand and improving existing software.
- Create prototype, design documents and technical tasks, suggest implementation plan.
- Develop core components, code review to ensure implemented as per the design.
- Develop tools to measure the quality of products and finding defects automatically.
- By 3 months you will be able to triage bugs and implement feature details by cooperating with other teams to gather information and expected behaviors.
- By 6 months you will understand media stack architecture in detail and what improvements need to be made for a better user experience.

By 1 year you will be a feature owner that drives development of new features.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture & design, prototyping, software development & implementation plan, code review and unit testing for consumer electronic devices.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent field.
- Proficient in C, C++/C++11, JavaScript, JSON.
- Multi-threading, Cmake build system, Cross compilation, Linux understanding (process, filesystem, permission, memory), Linux shared library analysis, Linux IPC/message queues, Parse & analyze journald logs, Debug core dump files, Troubleshooting.
- Boost ASIO, Linux boot-up, Linux interprocess communication, Linux Services/Daemon, Socket Programming, OOAD (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design), C++ 14 & 17 features (std::optional, std::async etc.)
- Adaptive media streaming client-side integration, Media playback, Multimedia frameworks - Gstreamer, ffmpeg, Wayland / directfb, Apple airplay media content delivery to player, Used PlayReady DRM 4.x
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Effective communication, Convey ideas clearly in short-time.
- Preferred: Websockets, REST API, SnapCraft, Docker, Conan pkg manager, Github actions, Cmake, make, meson build system, Unit test frameworks - Catch2, GoogleTest, BDD test framework, Rust, Python, Jira, Shell scripting

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
