You Are:
You are a passionate and accomplished analog design engineer with a strong foundation in CMOS circuit fundamentals and a proven track record in developing high-speed, high-performance analog and mixed-signal IP. Your curiosity fuels your drive to stay at the leading edge of semiconductor technology, and you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced R&D environment. With a deep understanding of SerDes architectures and sub-circuits, you eagerly tackle complex design challenges and translate SerDes standards into robust, innovative solutions. You are comfortable navigating the latest FinFET and GAA process nodes and have hands-on experience with advanced IC design tools.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing SerDes standards and translating them into precise analog sub-block specifications.
- Identifying and refining circuit architectures to meet stringent power, area, and performance targets.
- Proposing and executing efficient design and verification strategies utilizing advanced simulator features.
- Overseeing physical layout to minimize parasitics, mitigate device stress, and address process variation.
- Presenting simulation and characterization data for peer and customer review, ensuring design transparency and buy-in.
- Documenting critical design features, test plans, and post-silicon update proposals to ensure robust knowledge sharing and traceability.

Consulting on electrical characterization and proposing innovative solutions for post-silicon design updates within SerDes IP products.
- Drive the development of industry-leading Multi-Gbps NRZ & PAM4 SerDes IP, enabling next-generation data communication systems.
- Advance Synopsys’ position as a leader in high-speed analog and mixed-signal design for FinFET and GAA technologies.
- Enhance the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of Synopsys’ SerDes solutions through innovative circuit techniques and rigorous verification.
- Facilitate seamless integration of analog and digital design efforts, contributing to a cohesive and high-performing cross-functional team.
- Deliver robust, customer-focused IP that meets or exceeds quality and performance expectations in real-world applications.

Mentor and inspire junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- BE + 5 years or MTech + 4 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in transistor-level circuit design and strong CMOS design fundamentals.
- Detailed design experience with at least two SerDes sub-circuits (e.g., receive equalizers, samplers, drivers, serializers/deserializers, VCO, PLL, DLL, bandgap reference, ADC, DAC) and familiarity with several others.
- Knowledge of ESD protection strategies, layout techniques, and custom digital design for high-speed logic paths.
- Proficiency with schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification tools; hands-on experience with high-speed circuit layout is a plus.
- Familiarity with SPICE simulators, Verilog-A for analog modeling, and scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB.
- Strong understanding of design for reliability, including EM, IR, aging, and layout effects (matching, proximity, etc.).

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
