Your Impact

You will be working on sophisticated industrial real-time operating systems involving data acquisition and post-processing of data for analysis and reporting. This team of engineers develops innovative monitoring systems used for grid monitoring, gas-insulated switchgear, and generation in electrical substations and power plants.

Here’s Where You’ll Demonstrate Your Proficiencies

Embedded systems and firmware development with a focus on Linux and real-time embedded systems

Developing advanced firmware solutions for critical substation monitoring and diagnostics requirements

Supporting development teams by providing pre-qualification and verification testing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Supporting product transition to mass manufacturing

Collaborating with sales and support teams post-release to meet customer needs in a timely manner

Following software development and validation processes and driving continuous improvement

Using Scrum Agile methodology for firmware development

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Proven expertise in the design and support of embedded systems architecture in a real-time RTOS environment (high-speed serial I/O, embedded processors)

Experience with DSP programming and use of MATLAB/Python for prototyping or algorithm development

Expertise in Embedded C/C++ with code development in real-time, multi-threaded environments

Hands-on experience with peripheral interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, external memory, and ADCs

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause determination and issue resolution

Preferred

Knowledge of unit test frameworks for Linux

Experience programming device drivers

Familiarity with fault location, fault recording, and/or power quality

Knowledge of cybersecurity implementation principles
