Job Summary:
onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated engineering professional to join their Mixed Signal Product Development Team. As a Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a team to provide a wide variety of energy efficient integrated circuit solutions for our customers.
Performance Objectives
The successful candidate will participate in the following development activities:
- Advanced mixed-signal IC design and verification.
- Digital emphasis: Digital design using RTL coding, block and top-level digital verification, digital constraints, synthesis, ATPG, STA, etc.
- Analog emphasis: Transistor level circuit design and simulation of advanced analog blocks.
- Mixed-signal interface design and debugging.
- Silicon evaluation (bench testing).
- Customer communication and chip specification.
- Project management and coordination of resources.

Interface with IC layout, test, and reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required, Master’s Degree or PhD preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years Analog or Digital design experience.
- Proven background in mixed-signal circuit design and verification.
- Working knowledge of CMOS process technology and device physics.
- Fluency in written and oral communication in the English language.

Digital emphasis:
oDigital circuit design experience (state machines, control logic, digital filters, memory interfaces, etc.)
oDigital verification experience (randomized testing, code coverage, independent verification)
oKnowledge of UVM and System Verilog, a plus
oLogic synthesis, DFT, ATPG, and STA skills, a plus
oKnowledge of Linux and some scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, shell, tcl, etc.)
oExperience with test pattern generation and/or FPGA prototyping, a plus.

Analog emphasis:
oKnowledge of Cadence or Mentor and Linux tools and environments.
oExperience designing voltage regulators, data converters, oscillators, charge pumps, etc., a plus.
oExperience with VerilogA, Monte Carlo, XRC, and/or SpectreVerilog, a plus.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
