ASTRI’s core R&D competence in various areas is grouped under five Technology Divisions: Advanced Electronic Components and Systems; Artificial Intelligence and Trust Technologies; Communications Technologies; IoT Sensing and AI Technologies; and Intelligent Perception and Control Technologies.

Job Responsibilities
To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):
- Participate and contribute to physical layer (PHY) System/DSP/FPGA solution verifications in multiple platforms in ASTRI’s 5G/6G R&D projects
- Engage in project tasks listed as follows:
- Develop and maintain test infrastructure software for verifying integrated System/DSP/FPGA solutions
- Verify the integrated System/DSP/FPGA solutions for wireless communications
- Track and analyze the verification / testing results
- Provide verification support and troubleshooting for DSP and FPGA implementation

Build up know-hows on 5G/6G standardization
- PhD holder or Master or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Telecommunications, or relevant disciplines
- Successfully completed the undergraduate/postgraduate program
- Fresh graduates may also be considered
- Knowledge of wireless communications standard, such as 5/6G, ORAN, WiFi, Bluetooth a plus
- Experience with Verilog RTL coding and testbench design
- Familiar with large FPGA development on Xilinx devices
- Experience with Xilinx’s build flow including design entry in Verilog, synthesis, place and route, timing constraints and timing closure
- Experience with scripting languages: Python, tcl or equivalent, a plus

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
