Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Manager of Electrical and Software Engineering, you'll dive into the exciting world of electronic system design, embedded firmware development, application software design, and website administration across diverse platforms. In this collaborative environment, you can design, plan, and test innovative products that make a real impact. Your expertise will shine as you partner with engineering peers, technical support, sales, marketing teams, and even engage directly with our dealers and end customers. You'll be hands-on in conducting engineering investigations, creating software prototypes, and preparing detailed documentation—all essential steps leading to the launch of cutting-edge, production-ready software.
Qualifications
The position requires expert knowledge in embedded software engineering to design and develop Reinke products. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar field is required, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Candidates must have proven skills in embedded software and firmware, with the ability to analyze requirements, plan R&D development, and solve technical problems. Flexibility to work across various engineering disciplines, along with writing and editing reports and specifications, is essential.
Key qualifications include expertise in embedded software design, programming languages, and experience with microprocessors and microcontrollers. Required knowledge includes:
- Embedded Linux, Yocto
- Bare-metal microprocessor design
- Real-time development with FreeRTOS
- iOS and Android development
- Database design (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Wireless networking (WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth)
- Robotics programming (ROS, ROS2)
- Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, MQTT)
- Modern development workflows (Git, CI/CD)
Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Java is necessary; experience with .NET, C#, SQL, and web applications is a plus.

At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
