ACTIVITIES

Integrated within the R&D Hardware team in FIME Lille, your missions will focus on the following activities:

• Define and develop the software architecture of an embedded system using appropriate programming language, according to the electronic architecture
• Contribute to embedded software development, perform debugging, implement deployment, and write technical documentation
• Collaborate with other development engineers (Hardware designer, application software, testing) to carry out the complete study of a product and ensure its follow-up
• Define, develop, and participate in the electronic integration and system testing phases
• Provide technical support and product follow-up

At a senior level:

• Identify and recommend a technical architecture for the project
• Define and implement complex products and features impacting the entire product line
• Identify and anticipate the project's technical risks and propose mitigation options

Responsibilities and Scope of Action

• Responsible for the development of the software component of the product's embedded system, as well as for support during board validation and transition to production.
• Accountable for the embedded functionalities of the product and for ensuring compliance with the expected specifications.
• Ensure that the necessary software tools and technical means are in place to support product design, in alignment with the product’s electronic architecture.

At a senior level:

• Act as the technical reference within the Hardware team
• Define the tools and technical resources required by the Hardware team
• Provide technical guidance to the team

JOB EXPERIENCE

• Experience: 8+ years of proven experience in embedded software development.
• Strong knowledge of embedded programming languages (C, assembly)
• Experience in microcontrollers:
• Development on ARM platform: Zynq, STM32.
• Significant experience in design and development

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Educational Background: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a technically related discipline.
• Good knowledge of electronics
• Ability to take initiatives and sprit of Innovation
• Ability to adapt to new technologies
• Teamwork skills
• Be rigorous, with a strong capacity to learn
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge in GitLab and JIRA
• Fluency in English and French

Below skills are plus points :

• Experience in NFC and smartcard application
• VHDL language and working with FPGAs
• PC side scripting language like Python
