Position Overview
FleetGlue is seeking a high-agency robotics intern to work on future-facing, exploratory projects that fall outside the scope of our current roadmap. This role is an opportunity to prototype emerging technologies, evaluate cutting-edge research, and help shape the long-term technical direction of the company.
You’ll work directly with the executive team to identify potential areas of strategic value, rapidly prototype solutions, and provide clear assessments of technical feasibility, product alignment, and scalability. The work you do may directly inform new product lines, new R&D efforts, or technical differentiation in our core platform.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated excellence in prior technical internships, research projects, or self-directed work
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one or more of: Python, C++, TypeScript, or related tools used for prototyping or integration
- Proven ability to self-direct and execute in open-ended or ambiguous environments
- Strong communication skills, i.e. able to synthesize findings and present technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity and the discipline to explore new ideas rigorously
- At least one semester remaining before graduation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in robotics, automation, or embedded systems projects (independent or academic)
- Familiarity with common frameworks used in robotics (e.g., ROS), mapping, or real-time control
- Interest in industrial systems, mobile robots, or operational infrastructure
- Exposure to research literature or new technology domains related to robotics, logistics, or systems engineering
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup, or entrepreneurial environments
Location
Full-time position based in Detroit, MI, with some flexibility for hybrid work. Occasional travel may be required to visit customer sites.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
