Solidus is hiring a Radar Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.
This is an onsite role based in Woburn, MA.
Day In The Life
You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities:
- Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements
- Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions
- Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance
- Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers

Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements
- Electronic Protection, signal processing, applied mathematics
- Hypersonic threat defense
- Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces
- Radar calibration, diagnostics, deployed site support

Modeling and simulation of tactical software
- Active Secret clearance is required
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation
- 3 years of experience
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

Experience in system performance analysis, algorithm development, modeling & simulation, or support to fielded systems
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues using strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture
- Experience with radar system concepts; detection, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
- Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
- Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS
- Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
- Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools
- Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques
- Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
