Core Responsibilities
As an intern in the Operational Technology (OT) Department you will play an important role in investigating robotics simulation tools for our LEGO production.
You will be a member of a team, where your contribution will be to
- Map the possibilities of robotics simulation and digital twins in our production and labs.
- Test and evaluate different robotics simulation solutions in respect to our production challenges.

Perform tests and establish benchmark criteria for various robotics simulation solutions, emphasizing a comparative analysis between simulation results and hardware performance.
You will be joining our OT Innovation team within OT (Operational Technology) who is responsible for developing various proof of concepts in automation and robotics for our production. We work closely with different stakeholders to solve our most pressing problems.
As an intern, you will be asked to assess the maturity and possibilities of different robotics simulation solutions. You will have access to different simulation software and industrial robots. Furthermore, you get the chance to work with an international team, composed of experts in their fields, from which you can benefit and draw upon their guidance and support.

- You are currently pursuing a master’s/bachelor’s degree focusing on Robotics, Automation or related.
- You are equipped with a proactive attitude and a team player mentality. You appreciate learning from others without being afraid to ask for help and get energized by supporting others.
- You have knowledge of industrial robots programming and high-level programming languages like Python/C++.
- You have knowledge of industrial robots and their abilities.
- You have worked with simulation software before.
- You are skilled in documenting experiments and writing reports.
- You are able to be at our Headquarters in Billund minimum three days a week
- You have knowledge about Docker/containerization.
- You have experience with automation and robotics.
- You have experience with LEAN and/or SixSigma methodologies.
- You have work with digital twins and simulation
- You have been in Safety Shoes on the Shopfloor before
- You have experience working in iterative sprints with preferably knowledge in AGILE, SCRUM and product-oriented approaches

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
