🪵 About the Role

We're looking for a Lead Robotics Developer to help us design, build and scale the brains and motion behind our Micro-Factories — intelligent, mobile “factory-in-a-box” systems that turn digital designs into real buildings.

You’ll lead the development of robot programming, simulation, and automation tooling using ABB industrial robots , and help take our systems from in-house prototypes to robust, field-ready deployments. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team — collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, software and deployment engineers — and contribute to one of the most exciting automation platforms being built anywhere today.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You’ll be writing code, testing with real hardware, and mentoring others as we scale. It’s a perfect fit for someone who loves building practical, elegant automation systems — and wants to apply their skills to something that actually matters.

✏️ What You'll Do

• Develop and deploy advanced robot applications using ABB RAPID , SDKs and RobotStudio
• Lead simulation and programming workflows across multiple Micro-Factory setups
• Build reliable toolpath generation, tool-change routines and safety integration
• Create high-fidelity digital twins and remote support workflows for fast deployment
• Work hands-on with robots, sensors, and controls to test, debug and iterate
• Collaborate across hardware and software teams to build tightly integrated systems
• Contribute to development of end-of-arm tooling and automation hardware
• Mentor junior robotics engineers and support the growth of best practices
• Support field installs and commissioning alongside our deployment team

🤸🏾‍♀️ About You

• 5–8+ years’ experience in industrial robotics , ideally with deep knowledge of ABB RAPID , SDK and RobotStudio
• Strong programming skills across .NET, Python, C++ and related frameworks
• Proven experience with robot cell setup, calibration and real-world commissioning
• Experience building simulation environments, digital twins and remote ops tools
• Familiarity with version control (GitHub), CI/CD workflows, and robust coding practices
• A track record of working across disciplines to solve system integration challenges
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable getting hands-on in the field — and supporting teams on the ground
