We are looking for a skilled and experienced IC Design Engineer with 2 to 3 years of industry experience in RTL design, FPGA, and embedded firmware development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in simulation, debugging, and performance evaluation of processor-based system-on-chip (SoC) designs. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in designing and validating next-generation SoCs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and enhance existing SystemVerilog RTL code and Python-based automation/test infrastructure .
- Design and implement RTL modules with a focus on performance, area, and power optimization.
- Perform functional and performance simulations using Verilator or similar tools.
- Develop testbenches and validation environments to verify RTL functionality.
- Compile and debug embedded firmware (C) in both simulation and on FPGA platforms.
- Validate firmware interaction with processors and custom accelerators via memory-mapped I/O.
- Contribute to SoC-level memory mapping and integration.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to ensure design and system-level integration.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and results for reviews and audits.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in SystemVerilog-based RTL design and verification .
- Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation and test flows.
- Experience with simulation tools such as Verilator, ModelSim, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA implementation and bring-up .
- Solid understanding and experience in embedded C programming and firmware development .
- Experience in debugging firmware-hardware integration issues .
- Good understanding of memory-mapped peripherals , buses, and SoC memory hierarchy .
- Strong foundation in computer architecture , preferably based on Hennessy & Patterson .
- Working knowledge of RISC-V architecture .
- Familiarity with SoC design principles , including CPU, accelerators, and peripherals.
- Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Bonus Skills
- Exposure to open-source SoC projects (e.g., OpenTitan, CHIPS Alliance).
- Experience in hardware-software co-design and system-level modeling.
- Familiarity with GDB , OpenOCD, or other debugging tools.

We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
