In this role, you will drive the testing and quality assurance efforts for our embedded systems within our cutting-edge fluid technology products. You will be a strong advocate for quality throughout the software lifecycle and contribute to improving our testing strategies and standards, automation capabilities, and release management processes.

Key Accountabilities

Embedded Systems Testing & Automation

• Lead the design, execution, and automation of embedded system test cases, ensuring they meet product specifications and standards.
• Build test automation capabilities, including hardware/software-in-the-loop testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks (e.g., pyTest, Robot).
• Perform system-level testing: functional, regression, performance, and stress testing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, cloud and mobile software engineers to define comprehensive test strategies.
• Ensure test environments are equipped with the necessary tools and configurations.

Defect Management & Process Improvement

• Identify, document, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and techniques.
• Track metrics and promote best practices to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.

Mentorship & Guidance

• Mentor embedded testers and developers, encouraging high standards of test coverage and quality culture.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in Software QA or Verification, with a focus on embedded systems testing.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement of software testing and release processes.
• Experience in embedded systems, IoT, mobile, and cloud technologies is an asset.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in test automation and frameworks such as pyTest or Robot.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
• Proficiency in C/C++ and reading hardware schematics.
• Understanding of communication/networking protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Wi-Fi, BLE, CAN).
• Experience with RTOS, control systems, and embedded cybersecurity is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
