Role Description

We are looking for a full-time remote Embedded Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and extending the operating system of our devices, as well as developing new services and features that interact directly with the hardware. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy robust embedded software solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about low-level programming, hardware-software integration, and building reliable systems. You’ll play a key role in improving the performance, stability, and capabilities of our embedded platform, while staying current with industry trends and best practices in embedded systems development.

Qualifications

• Computer Science and Software Development skills.
• Yocto-based Linux System Knowledge. (customizing and maintaining).
• Professional experience writing applications/scripts in C++ and Python
• Ability to debug and integrate hardware components within embedded software
• Confidence in a Unix shell environment (networking, systemd services and troubleshooting).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience using version control systems (GIT)

Desired Skills

• Proficiency with graphics frameworks ( ie. OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal Kit etc)
• Experience in Unit Testing and automated testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices (DevOps)
• Cross-platform development experience with QTCreator.
• Experience working with WebRTC libraries (gstreamer, libwebrtc) and SFU's (antmedia, jitsi, pion)
