Role Summary
As an Embedded Developer in the Framework team within the Value Creation Team PCS (Propulsion Control System), you will play a key role in developing Middleware Software components such as Real-Time Database and File Handling. You will also contribute to the Diagnostic Framework, Cyber Security Implementation, and Unified Diagnostic Services for all inhouse developed Propulsion Control Systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Middleware SW development (Real Time Database, File Handling).
- Implement Diagnostic Framework.
- Work with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) or KWP.

Cyber Security Implementation for embedded systems.
- You hold a Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- You have strong programming skills in C and Python.
- Experience in embedded systems development for at least 2 years.
- Know how of ISO26262, ASPICE and MISRA C.
- Knowledgeable in CAN and Diagnostics.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink is an advantage.

The Powertrain System Framework unit consists of three specialized teams: Cyber Security, Architecture & Functional Safety, and Framework, with the mission to deliver safe and secure propulsion systems with a modular SW architecture and a pipeline that enables quick releases with high quality.
We are part of the Powertrain Base Functions section, where we develop premium operational mechatronics software to control all in-house propulsion systems. Our mission includes:
- Developing control system functionality for in-house conventional gearboxes (GW and GZ).
- Creating control systems for electric powertrains (e.g., CCD, P160, eCAM).
- Serving as technical system owners for all gearbox and electric powertrain systems.

Delivering operational mechatronics software, including framework, architecture, functional safety, and cyber security

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
