We are extending our product portfolio around compilers, analysis tools and services for the development of safety and security critical applications. For this we are looking for experts as well as junior talents interested in programming languages, compiler technology and CPU instruction sets. With our products, we are supporting various programming languages like C/C++, Ada and Rust on all high-end CPU families like x86, ARM, PowerPC and RISC-V.
Your Tasks
- You are interested in programming languages and compiler technology
- You have a strong knowledge of the C/C++, Ada and Rust programming language
- You know the compilation chain from front to back end
- You are contributing to an active compiler tool chain code base, such as GCC, LLVM, CompCert, MSVC or MLIR

You like to work in a team and share your knowledge with other experts
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
- You are interested in programming languages and you can read and understand programming language specifications
- You have a strong knowledge of the Ada, C/C++ and or Rust programming language

You know the compilation chain from front to back end and how the source code is compiled into an executable binary
- Analyse customer bug reports and develop workaround or fixes
- Support customers in language specific questions
- Support the compiler team with your know-how
- Translate customer requirements into opportunities for differentiator in our products
- Work closely with the tools team during the development of the language specific analysis tools, e.g., code coverage, stack analysis or other code quality tools
- Work closely with the operating system teams to model and predict leading application performance and areas for optimisation
- Actively follow and contribute to the Ada, C/C++ and / or Rust language evolution
- Support the verification team during tool verification and qualification
- Mentor other engineers on improving the quality of engineering work in the broader team.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
