At Innate, we are developing the first personal AI robot that everyone can teach anywhere, anytime, for any task they want. We put the state of the art of Agentic AI and robot learning in platforms that are simple yet powerful for anyone to build on.
About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Engineer Intern for Fall 2025. In this internship, you will focus on one of two specialty paths: Mechatronics Engineer OR AI Engineer.
We will include information on both paths below. If you're interested, you can designate your preference below; and note that you can be considered for both paths, if relevant.
AI Engineer Intern Path
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong expertise in AI, with a focus on decision-making and planning algorithms.
- Proficiency in ROS2 and experience with real-time robotic systems.
- Track record of publishing research in AI or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into practical applications.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with hierarchical planning, reinforcement learning, or hybrid methods.
- Familiarity with integrating planning systems with low-level controls and high-level semantic reasoning.
- Background in working with real-world sensor data and simulation tools.
- Contributions to open-source projects in robotics or AI.
Mechatronics Engineer Intern Path
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong foundation in mechatronics, robotics, or mechanical/electrical engineering.
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, machining, PCB design).
- Familiarity with robotic actuation, sensor integration, and system-level debugging.
- Demonstrated ability to bring hardware systems from concept to working prototype.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with mobile or assistive robots, especially those built for home or human environments.
- Knowledge of ROS2 and working with embedded compute platforms like the Jetson Orin.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, hands-on startup environments.
- Contributions to open-source hardware or robotics projects.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
